Terms of Service

EFFECTIVE 2 NOVEMBER 2026

On this page

The short version

  1. Buuka is software. We give your business a booking page, a schedule, a crew app and payment tools.
  2. We don’t provide the services your business sells. Every booking is an agreement between your business and your client. You’re responsible for the work, the price, the quality and how you treat your clients and crew.
  3. Card payments go through Stripe, straight to your business. We never hold your clients’ money.
  4. You own your data. You can export it, and we keep it for 90 days after you leave.
  5. Plans are monthly, in Australian dollars. Cancel any time from Settings.
  6. Nothing in these terms takes away your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

01Who we are

Buuka is a business name of Adilson Junior Vieira Rodrigues, a sole trader, ABN 85 900 887 849, based in Perth, Western Australia (“Buuka”, “we”, “us”). You can reach us at support@buuka.com.au.

These terms apply to the business that creates a Buuka account (“you”, “your business”) and to everyone you let use the account, such as managers and crew. By creating an account or using Buuka, you agree to these terms.

02What Buuka is, and what it isn't

Buuka is a software platform for local service businesses. It lets you publish a booking page, take and manage bookings, plan your crew’s work, message your clients, record payments and see reports.

We are a technology provider only. We are not a party to any booking or agreement between you and your clients. We don’t perform, supervise, inspect or guarantee any service you provide. We don’t employ or engage your crew.

You are solely responsible for:

  • the services you offer and perform, including their quality, safety and timeliness;
  • your prices, quotes, fees, refunds and cancellation rules;
  • any licences, registrations, insurance and qualifications your work needs;
  • your obligations to your clients under the Australian Consumer Law and other laws;
  • your obligations to your crew, including pay, superannuation, tax, workers’ compensation, work health and safety, and whether each person is an employee or a contractor;
  • the accuracy of everything you publish on your booking page.

Complaints or claims from your clients about your services are for you to resolve. If a client contacts us about your services, we may pass their details to you.

03Your account and your team

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract. The information you give us must be true and kept up to date.

You’re responsible for everything done through your account, including by people you invite. Give each person their own login. Keep passwords and invite links private, and tell us straight away at support@buuka.com.au if you think someone has accessed your account without permission.

You decide who can use your account and what they can see. When someone leaves your team, remove their access.

Where your plan allows more than one business under one login, each business is treated as a separate account under these terms. Its clients, crew and data stay separate.

04Plans, billing and GST

Plans and prices
PLANPER MONTHPEOPLE
Free$0up to 1
Starter$29up to 3
Pro$75up to 5
Business$21912, then $15 each

Our plans and prices are shown on our pricing page and in Settings. Prices are in Australian dollars and billed monthly in advance, from the day you subscribe.

We are not currently registered for GST, so our prices don’t include GST and our invoices are not tax invoices. If we become registered, we will tell you at least 30 days before GST applies.

Some plans include a number of people. If your plan charges for extra people, we charge from the day each person joins, pro-rated to your billing date.

If you change plans, the change applies straight away and we charge or credit the difference for the rest of the billing period.

Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. If a payment fails, we’ll let you know and try again. If it’s still unpaid 14 days after the due date, we may limit your account until it’s paid.

We may change our prices by giving you at least 30 days’ notice by email. If you don’t agree, you can cancel before the new price applies and you won’t be charged it.

Fees already paid aren’t refundable for part of a billing period, except where the law requires a refund or these terms say otherwise.

05Payments from your clients

Where available, you can take card payments from your clients through Stripe. To do this you must open a Stripe account and agree to Stripe’s terms, including the Stripe Connected Account Agreement. Stripe processes the payments, not us.

Money your clients pay goes to your Stripe account, less Stripe’s fees. We never receive, hold or control your clients’ funds, and we are not responsible for Stripe’s services, fees, holds or payout timing.

You decide when and how your clients pay, and your refund rules. Refunds, disputes and chargebacks are between you, your client and Stripe.

Cash and other payments recorded in Buuka are records only. We don’t check them.

Where Buuka produces invoices or receipts for your clients, they’re issued in your name and with your details. You must make sure your details (including ABN and GST status) are correct and that the documents meet your tax obligations.

06Messages to your clients and crew

Buuka can send emails and text messages on your behalf, such as booking confirmations, reminders and “on the way” messages. These messages come from your business, not from Buuka.

You are responsible for the content of messages you set up and for having permission to send them. Messages that promote your business, such as review requests or offers, are commercial messages under the Spam Act 2003. For those you must have the recipient’s consent, identify your business, and let them unsubscribe.

Text message delivery depends on phone networks and third-party providers. We can’t guarantee every message arrives or arrives on time.

07Using Buuka fairly

You must follow our Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: use Buuka only for lawful local services, don’t mislead your clients, don’t send spam, and don’t try to break, copy or overload the platform.

08Your data

You own the information you and your clients put into Buuka (“your data”), including client details, bookings, notes, photos and payment records.

You give us permission to store, copy, process and display your data only as needed to run, secure, support and improve Buuka for you. We don’t sell your data and we don’t use your clients’ details to market to them.

For your clients’ and crew’s personal information, you decide why it’s collected and how it’s used, and we handle it on your behalf. You must have a lawful basis to collect it, tell people how you use it, and handle requests from them. We’ll help where we reasonably can.

We may use anonymised, aggregated information that doesn’t identify you, your clients or your crew to understand and improve our service.

How we handle personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

09Our platform

We own Buuka, including its software, design and brand. We give you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it during your subscription, under these terms.

If you send us ideas or feedback, we can use them without paying you.

You give us permission to show your business name, logo and colours on your booking page and messages. We won’t use them in our marketing without your written consent.

10Changes, availability and support

We work to keep Buuka available and secure, but it may sometimes be unavailable, for example during maintenance or because of problems with our providers. We’ll try to give notice of planned maintenance.

We improve Buuka regularly and may add, change or remove features. If a change materially reduces what your plan includes, we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice and you may cancel and receive a pro-rated refund of any prepaid fees.

We may change these terms. We’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice by email of any change that’s not in your favour. If you don’t agree, you can cancel before the change takes effect.

Support is by email at support@buuka.com.au. Response times shown on our website are targets, not guarantees.

11Cancelling and suspension

You can cancel at any time from Settings. Your account stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for.

After that, your booking page goes offline and invite links stop working. Your data stays available to export, read-only, for 90 days, and is then deleted, except where we must keep records by law.

We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms, don’t pay, or use Buuka in a way that could harm others or break the law. Where reasonable, we’ll warn you first and give you time to fix the problem.

Before you go, export what you need. Clients with bookings after your account closes are your responsibility to contact.

12Consumer law and liability

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Our services come with guarantees that can’t be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy you have under that law.

What we don’t promise. To the extent the law allows, Buuka is provided “as is”. We don’t promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will meet every need of your business. You’re responsible for checking results the app calculates for you, such as prices, crew pay, tax figures and reports.

Limit. Where the law allows us to limit our liability for failing to meet a consumer guarantee, our liability is limited to supplying the services again or paying the cost of having them supplied again.

Not responsible for your services. We are not liable for any loss, damage, injury or claim arising from the services your business provides, from your dealings with your clients or crew, or from Stripe or other providers you choose to use.

Indirect loss. To the extent the law allows, neither of us is liable to the other for indirect or consequential loss, or loss of profit, revenue or data, arising from these terms.

Cap. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you under or in connection with these terms is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event that caused the loss.

Your responsibility to us. You agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses from claims by your clients, crew or others to the extent they arise from your services, your breach of these terms, or your breach of the law. This doesn’t apply to the extent the loss was caused by us.

Each of us must take reasonable steps to reduce any loss.

13General

These terms are governed by the law of Western Australia. Each of us submits to the courts of Western Australia and the courts that can hear appeals from them.

If a dispute comes up, tell us in writing and we’ll both try in good faith to resolve it within 30 days before starting court proceedings, except for urgent relief.

If part of these terms is invalid, the rest continues to apply.

You can’t transfer your account to someone else without our consent. We may transfer these terms to a business that takes over Buuka, and we’ll tell you if that happens.

Neither of us is liable for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control.

These terms, our Privacy Policy and our Acceptable Use Policy are the whole agreement between us about Buuka.
